I first began writing about vacations I took
back in ’99 with our Appalachian Trail hike through Shenandoah Valley,
VA. Since then I’ve tried to write more about the scenery and location/
trail details rather than the complaint-weighted anecdotes about my fellow
hikers and my own meanderings, so you may not get much more out of these
blatherings than entertainment value. And perhaps not even that! While
you’re reading the trip journals you may want visual aids from the
